Christine Mayer, LCSW
Christine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, and practices at Compass Counseling and Consulting in Champaign, Illinois.
With over 15 years experience as a therapist, and as a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Social Work, she is currently serving as a clinician working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are LGBTQ clientele, stress management, abuse and trauma, bi-polar and depression, and anger management. She also serves as the clinical supervisor and can offer supervision services to recent graduates.
In addition to being a versatile therapist, Christine is a community activist for LGBTQ issues and a coordinator of Pride Fest in 2013 and 2014, in Champaign, Illinois. She is also a board member at the Uniting Pride Center. Christine typically uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and she is certified in Moral Reconation Therapy. She has a broad base of knowledge and expertise, serving adults, teens and adolescents with all presenting issues, using a sex positive approach when appropriate.

Christine earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois - Urbana/Champaign. Her Masters of Social Work came from the University of Illinois School of Social Work in 1996.

Christine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois. She earned her LCSW in 2000. Christine is certified in Moral Reconation Therapy.
