I am a therapist committed to helping you find the resources, support, and interpersonal skills necessary to achieve your life’s goals. My mission is to provide an environment for growth and well-being to a variety of clients. I have over ten years of experience assisting veterans, college students, and individuals with severe work injuries as they worked through areas such as depression, anxiety, conflict around major life transitions, family problems, isolation, PTSD, loss and grief, emotional regulation, living with chronic illness and working through long-standing struggles with self-acceptance.
More recently, I have worked with individuals with addiction issues as they work towards recovery and the impact addiction has had on them holistically in terms of their relationships, legal-standing, financial-issues and physical and mental health. I have a strong belief that together we can find the tools that work for you and while I have a tool bag your individual needs are my priority and will help me determine how to best support you. Together we can understand what's occurring and make sense and meaning of your feelings, problems and relationships so you can regain and build a sense of empowerment, choice, flexibility, inner-security and freedom. I provide both long-term and short-term work and a sliding scale fee when applicable.
I am hopeful that should you choose me as your counselor that together we will work towards progress in your daily life. I am firmly of the belief that life is about progress and not perfection. Progress will help you feel accomplished and perfection leaves no room for growth. As a therapist I want to support your growth potential while also helping you find balance and wellness in your daily life.
